Day 3 of Life
It’s the end of our third day. As the pictures show(Madison on left), Madison no longer has the tube going into her stomach. She still coughs up some blood from every so often but the doctors say it will take some time for her to clear what she ingested during the birthing process. They decided it would be best to keep her overnight (Monday) as they wean her off her isolet (temp controlled environment) and transition her from the IV for feeding to breast milk alone. Allison has been able to pump successfully so Madison has been getting the “good stuff” through a bottle. We feel very fortunate that Allison was able to carry the girls to term and that we’re off to a great start. We expect to leave Wednesday and are praying that Madison will be eating well and ready to go with us. We are truly enjoying this time! God is amazing and we are so thankful for His goodness.

Congratulations!!! God is amazing. I’m so excited for you guys. Ruby and Madison are beautiful. Hopefully I’ll get a chance to see them around Christmas time when I’m up there visiting Mandy and Jeff. Take care.

What beauties they are!! Allison, you look wonderful and you both look so happy!! It’s killing me that I can’t be there to see you and the new babies, but I am couting down the days until Xmas vacation when we get to come see you!! Enjoy the journey…they grow fast (listen to me who’s only had one for a little over 3 weeks!) and remember that the sleepless nights are totally worth it 🙂 Miss and love you guys! Wow!!! They are beautiful—however, we shouldn’t have expected anything else. I am so happy that ALL of the girls are doing fine. I can’t wait to see and hold them but until then enjoy all of the wonderful and difficult(early feedings and diapers)times that will be sure to come your way.

Wow! It’s wonderful to see the girls have arrived and are doing well. Uncle Ken will be pleased to hear they were born on his birthday. You probably planned it that way just for an extra connection. Way to go! We are grateful to God for delivering mother and children through this ordeal (dad looks like he was worn out by the time it was said and done, too; maybe some sleep will help Matt … or maybe you can get some in about six months!). Allison, you look great and the babies are beautiful; we rejoice with you! This comes with our love, Uncle Tim and Aunt Melissa.
