Olivia Is In Heaven

We learned this morning that the baby we lost Saturday was Olivia.  Her name means “Peace” and “Walks with God” and knowing that she’s enjoying ultimate peace gives us comfort.  As you can imagine we’re grieving today but are thankful that we are together and God is with us.

Ruby and Madison’s ultrasounds looked real good today.  We don’t have any new information on the condition of Madison’s heart.  The doctors are going to call us back later today to discuss our case further and the plan for the days to come.  Our prayer is that Ruby will continue to do well and Madison’s heart will be completely healed.  Please agree in prayer with us.

  • Debbie Haglund:

    Hi Allison and Matt,

So sorry to hear your news and please know that you are and have been in my prayers. Olivia was in great hands and God chose both of you to watch and care for her as she was ‘growing up’ for a very special reason. You loved her, cared for her, prayed for her and she became who you knew her to be, even in the womb . . . . now she is directly in the great hands of her Father in Heaven. May you find comfort and peace knowing that she is in His arms during these days of grieving her loss from your life.

    Love and Hugs,

    Debbie Haglund

My heart goes out to both of you on your loss of Olivia. Since we can’t be there with you, we are all comforted by the strength your faith gives you to accept this loss. Ruby and Madison are so fortunate to have you as their mom and dad. I’m sending hugs and prayers from afar. Aunt Kay

  • Ned, Val and boys:

You are both heavy on our hearts. We had so prayed for another outcome, but I cannot help but be reminded that as parents our ultimate goal is to have our children “walk with God” both in this life and into the next. Please be encouraged that you will one day have your chance to be with Olivia, but this time it will be for eternity and that is a blessing not every parent can have reassurance of.

We love you so much and keep trusting for the best for Madison and Ruby!

  • Emily:

My dear friends, I grieve with you on your loss of baby Olivia. I know she is with our King taking in the splendors described in Revelations. Allison, you were a wonderful mother to her and you are blessed to have had that priviledge –I know you believe that! Madison and Ruby are the luckiest little girls to have you both as their parents. We Sternbergs and our family and friends are keeping you in our daily prayers. You both are such strong, faithful people I am certain that your journey is only bringing you closer to the Lord. He Loves You.
    All my Love and Blessings,
    Em

May Olivia rest in peace with God…she was such a little fighter! Some day her sisters will know how hard she fought…know she is in a better place – watching over all of you!

We love you and pray for you all every day! Hope to see you soon!

    Matt and Allison,

I am hoping you will experience in time a similar uplifting experience as we did. When we lost Baby D at 11 weeks, we grieved but realized that was the Lords plan to help along our other 3… however we never could have imagined the bond that will seemingly exist forever for our boys and baby D. When they were old enough we decided to try to explain to them that there were 4, however it took little discussion even at a very young age when comprehension of such things is usually a struggle. They have always seemed to grasp and embrace and remember the one that is awaiting them in the Kingdom of Heaven so that they could be here with us…. we hope and pray your beloved girls give you that same comfort and miracle….

Take care, all 6 of us think of you often and pray for lots of good news in the near future!

    lots of hugs!
